2009: The Beginning

Well, it's a new year. Most people I know start the new year with, well, a hangover. I however, being the overly contemplative and analytical person I am, mark ever milestone in my life with a brief period of deep reflection. I look back at my last milestone in my life, in this case my 18th birthday less than 2 months ago, and I simply ponder that time period. I have no goal in mind, I look for neither the good or bad nor the bitter or sweet; I free my mind.

..

One may ask why I just created this blog. Well, about 15 minutes before the new year struck the east coast, I realized I had not come up with a New Year's Resolution. I ran to isolation and contemplated for a bit, but simply failed to organize my thoughts. At 12:00 AM on January 1st, 2009 all I had was:

1. Get organized
2. Do everything well (this thought could have used some further refinement, but now it is what it is)
3. Improve/maintain my personal relationships
4. Create a blog.

Thus, the journey begins. I like to talk a lot and I like to write a lot, so this blog concept works well for me. I'd like to think I'm a somewhat interesting person (for better or worse) and someone would take up an interesting in reading what I have to say, however I'm not going to reveal this blog to anyone for some time. These first few posts will be about my life and background, for any possible future readers to reference. I will try to answer the most common question about, well, me, and clear up and common misconceptions about yours truly. And if I'm the only person that will ever read this, hopefully this will provide me some entertainment as a raw record of my seemingly arbitrary mind processes and proof that I followed through on at least part of my hurried and random resolution.

To all the currently nonexistent readers,
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Best Wishes to All for 2009
